TomTom appoints new SVP marketing
TomTom today announces that Alain Pakiry has been appointed as the new Senior Vice President Marketing of TomTom’s consumer business unit. This appointment follows the departure of Alex Batchelor (read here).

Alain Pakiry will be responsible for managing the consumer brand and all consumer-related marketing and communication activities; he will report to Corinne Vigreux, Managing Director of TomTom.

Alain joined TomTom nine months ago as Vice President Sales Southern Europe, managing a team of 40 people throughout France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. Prior to TomTom, he served four years at Logitech as country manager France and as EMEA business manager for speakers and gaming accessories. Previously, he worked ten years at Ubisoft and Guillemot Corp. where he held several management positions in sales, marketing and business development in North America and Europe.

Born in Italy, Alain has studied sociology at the University of Canterbury in Kent and is a graduate of EM Lyon business school.
