TeleNav first to launch navigation on Android phones
Beginning February 24, 2009, U.S. T-Mobile G1 customers will have access to full-color, 3D, turn-by-turn GPS navigation from TeleNav. The service will include speech recognition, traffic information, gas prices, weather updates and restaurant reviews.

TeleNav GPS Navigator will be priced for $9.99 per month after a one month free trial. TeleNav GPS Navigator is also expected to be available in the Android Market later this year. The speech recognition is available for both address entry and business search at the press of a button. Telenav’s speech recognition was first introduced last year on Blackberry handhelds.
