Ralph Eric Kunz has left Nokia where he was Vice President and General Manager of Nokia's mapping, navigation and search business. Dr. Kunz was instrumental in the acquisition of the mobile navigation company Gate5 last summer by Nokia. "Dr. Kunz has resigned his senior role at Nokia to focus on his entrepreneurial role with Mobile messaging services provider TynTec a company he previously co-funded", said a Tyntec's press release.

Ralph Eric Kunz was supposed to be a keynote speaker in the forthcoming Canalys Navigation Forum to take place early September in Barcelona.

Dr. Kunz has more than 15 years of experience in top-level management, strategy consulting, and venture capital investments in the IT and telecom industries with Nokia, Bertelsmann and the Boston Consulting Group.
