Q&A with Robert Gourdine, Navteq about location-based gaming

GPS Business news interviewed with Robert Gourdine, Director of Marketing, North American Consumer Group at NAVTEQ to get its views on the location-based gaming market. In this eight minutes video interview Gourdine gives his thoughts about the barrier that remain on this particular segment of the location-based market and how to understand the difference in the eco-systems between cell phones and portable consoles.

Robert Gourdine is responsible for driving the marketing strategy, programs and tactics within the Navteq consumer group. He has also been responsible for launching programs such as NAVTEQ’s Global LBS Challenge and the NAVTEQ Developer’s Conference. Prior to joining NAVTEQ, Mr. Gourdine worked as a Director of Marketing for OnePoint Communications and also spent four years at Ameritech (now SBC). He previously served in a variety of Marketing and Product Management roles at Motorola. Gourdine received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California and a MBA from Indiana University.
