North American local review guide Yelp continues its development in Europe with the opening of Yelp Denmark today, closely following their opening in Sweden last month.
Beginning today, Danes are able to create accounts on Yelp.dk to share their opinions about local businesses and services. Yelp's free iPhone and Android applications will also be made available in Denmark, as well as its free suite of business owner tools: Yelp for Business Owners.
In Europe Yelp had already established in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and Belgium.
The company, that went public in March at a share price of $15 has been up more than 70 percent from its IPO price even if financial analysts remain sceptical of such a stock performance.
In Europe Yelp is fighting head to head with Qype, privately-owned and headquartered in London and Hamburg.
