Wayfinder broadens its partnership with MapmyIndia
Swedish navigation software editor Wayfinder has announced this week that Wayfinder Navigator and the free Wayfinder Earth mapping software are now widely available with Indian local maps from MapmyIndia for over 150 popular phone models.

This announcement follows up with the launch of its first Indian off-board navigation service with local wireless operator Bharti Airtel and an exclusive partnership with MapmyIndia last year.

“We believe everyone in the Indian ecosystem will benefit from our partnership and product offering: consumers, mobile operators, handset manufacturers, and mobile phone retailers.” says Rakesh Verma, Managing Director of MapMyIndia.

Wayfinder services with MapmyIndia maps offers street level coverage for 18 cities, detailed coverage for 150 cities, nation-wide coverage of 55,000 towns and villages connected by national and state highways, and 200,000 points of interest in 52 categories of tourist and business interest.
