TomTom uses SiRF GPS for iPhone mount
The TomTom iPhone car kit, which is set to hit the market in the coming days, just passed approval from the Federal Communications Commission in the United States. Public documents on the FCC website indicate that TomTom chose a SiRF StarIII GPS chipset (GSG3f/LPx) from CSR to power this mount. CSR is also the provider of the Bluetooth chipset powering the hands free call capability of the iPhone holder. The GPS patch antenna is from Taiwanese manufacturer INPAQ.
