TomTom and Zurich partner for cross-selling promotion in the UK
TomTom and Zurich - one of the world's largest insurance companies - have announced a partnership to cross-sell their product offerings to British drivers.

Zurich is offering TomTom owners £50 in vouchers when they buy car insurance from the company - and a 10% discount on the cost of their insurance if they buy online. The offer is valid in the UK, and runs until 31 May 2008. For drivers who currently do not own a TomTom, Zurich is offering a promotional price of £179.99 for the TomTom ONE XL Europe Traffic PND - a saving of up to £50, when they sign up for a new insurance policy on the Zurich web site.

Safety as a marketing tool
TomTom is also willing to push forward the safety message through this partnership with Zurich.
“Research conducted by leading independent Dutch research agency, TNO, has shown that TomTom drivers feel more relaxed and less stressed when driving with a satellite navigation device”, said the press release. "Working with TomTom is a great fit for us at Zurich, given our shared wish to have safe drivers on the roads”, added Mike Quinton, managing director, Direct & Partnerships at Zurich. “Our expertise in delivering direct insurance here in the UK will allow us to bring this important message to our customers."
