TomTom and Garmin reach global settlement of litigation
TomTom and Garmin in a similar statement announced today a confidential global settlement of all of their intellectual property litigation. The settlement resolves all of the pending intellectual property litigation including cases in the UK, Netherlands, Wisconsin, and Texas. The parties did not disclose details of their agreement.

While both companies have embarked in a bidding war over the control of digital mapping supplier Tele Atlas, this settlement is surely not a coincidence. But it is still too early to say what will be the outcome of the Tele Atlas story.
