Telenav showcased by IDC as 'Emerging Mobile Player to Watch'
The companies named by IDC as Emerging Mobile Players to Watch in 2007 were identified for their strategies and attributes, including: market creation, innovation, vision and potential. According to Sean Ryan, IDC mobile analyst and author of the report, “IDC selected TeleNav as one of the ten emerging companies to watch because of its unique capabilities, including 3D mapping, the ability to search for points of interest along a predetermined route, speech input of destination address and population of the city field by nearby cities – limiting the need to key in information.”

Telenav is now reporting a global team of more than 300 employees. In 2006 the company implemented a significant marketing and sales push with its long-term partner Sprint Nextel, and also launched its TeleNav GPS Navigator™ solution with three new wireless carrier partners in the U.S. – Cingular Wireless, now the new AT&T; Alltel Wireless; and SouthernLINC Wireless. TeleNav also launched the service internationally with Vivo in Brazil and China Mobile.
