TeleNav inks deal with largest Mexican Telco
Mobile navigation provider TeleNav Inc. today announced the availability of its off-board solution on Telcel mobile phones in Mexico. Telcel customers in select cities now have access to turn-by-turn, GPS-enabled driving directions directly from their BlackBerry 8800 and BlackBerry Curve 8310.

Telcel is currently offering a free 30-day trial of TeleNav GPS Navigator. An ongoing subscription can be purchased for 299 pesos ($28) for three months of unlimited use or 499 pesos ($46) for six months. Telcel is the largest wireless operator in Mexico with more than 50 million subscribers and was enjoying 72.7% market share in 2007. By 2010 the number of Mexican cell phone subscribers is expected to hit nearly 100 million.

TeleNav GPS is now deployed by 15 carriers in 21 countries.
