Tele Atlas launches ContentLink, online marketplace for POIs
Tele Atlas unveiled at CeBIT ContentLink™, a Web-based program for content production and distribution that gives location-based application developers access to a wide range of up-to-date, specialized content and points of interest (POIs).

Tele Atlas ContentLink is designed to streamline time-to-market by allowing developers to rapidly discover and obtain the latest content provided by publishers such as entertainment, lodging and services data. Publishers of any size can post content to the portal, and then categorize, locate and verify the precise position of their content on Tele Atlas maps.

Developers can then search, acquire and download the content to create highly targeted applications and personalized downloads for personal and in-car navigation systems, mobile and wireless devices, Internet solutions and location-based services (LBS).

ContentLink is essentially an intermediation platform. It allows publishers to easily market their content to the Tele Atlas clients. When both parties have signed a contract offline the solution developer can download the content in a Tele Atlas format and integrate it in its software.
The available content offered currently includes over 12.5 million POIs.
