TIM Brasil and Garmin to launch navigation on Blackberry
Last week at the Brasilian telecom tradeshow Futurecom, wireless operator TIM Brasil in partnership with Garmin demonstrated a local navigation solution for the Blackberry. The solution will be commercially available before the end of the year and will offer navigational maps for more than 70 cities across Brazil. Garmin Mobile will run on the GPS-enabled BlackBerry 8800 and BlackBerry Curve 8310.
TIM Brasil is a subsidiary of Telecom Italia Mobile, it operates a GSM network in Brasil since 1998 and has 27.5 million customers (June 2007). Monday October 8, 2007
