Sygic Passes 20m Installs on iOS & Android; 1.9m Miles Driven per Day
Mobile navigation provider Sygic this week announced to have reached 20 million installs of its navigation software on iOS and Android with users driving 1.9 million miles per day with the app.

The turn-by-turn navigation app offers on-board map data for 111 countries. the company considers this as a key differentiator.

"As we rely more and more on our smartphones, we are lulled into a false sense of security that they will always work when we need them, but data is not always available making Sygic's always-on approach a critical resource," said Michal Stencl, Sygic co-founder and CEO. "We are tethered to our data connections, but the average consumer experiences a critical data error 1-3 times per session. Our app eliminates that pain point."
