Sygic Adds Head Up Display Mode to GPS App

Slovakian location-based services vendor Sygic has started to offer a Head-Up Display interface to its mobile GPS navigation app.

Drivers simply activate the feature from the app’s navigation menu, flip the screen via pop-up menu and place their phone on their dashboard. The optimized interface will then reflect on the car’s windshield, displaying key navigation information in large icons.

While the system works nicely at night it might not be such a success in a sunny day.

Sygic GPS navigation software, now upgraded to version 13.3, is available in the iOS App Store ($39.99 for North America) and Google Play, while the HUD feature can be purchased from within the app for $4.99.
