Swiss Topographic maps get mobile on Sony Ericsson C702
The Swiss Federal Office of Topography, swisstopo, has released Swiss Map Mobile, a software package that integrates the Swiss national maps for GPS-enabled mobile phones. The digital maps of Switzerland at 1:25 000 and 1:100 000 resolution are now available on Memory Stick Micro (M2) cards for the Sony Ericsson C702 handset.

There are eight different 2G cards to cover the entire area of Switzerland at the scales 1:25,000 and 1:100,000 However, each section contains also an overview map of the entire Switzerland at the scale 1:500,000.

Each Swiss Map Mobile card is available in Swisscom shops for the price of CHF 99 (US$89). The software is in German, French, Italian and English.
