Skyhook Wireless, a provider of Wi-Fi and hybrid location technologies, today upgraded its SDK to include Android support, hybrid positioning that combines Wi-Fi, cell tower triangulation, and GPS, and simpler deployment models, said the Boston-based company in a statement.

Other supported platform included Windows, Windows Mobile, Mac, Android, Symbian, Linux and Maemo. Developers can license the Skyhook SDK on a per unit/user basis. Ad revenue share models are also available in conjunction with Skyhook's advertising partners.
