SiRF and Intrinsyc partner for connected navigation platform
Intrinsyc Software, has launched with SiRF Technology a new development platform to enable connected consumer navigation handhelds based on the combined solution of Intrinsyc’s Soleus software and SiRF’s location technology chipset.

Intrinsyc signed a Software License Agreement with SiRF in November 2007 and this engagement is now generating royalty revenues. The Intrinsyc and SiRF bundled platform solution was indeed used to produce Cronos, a new converged connected navigation device, developed by Shanghai RagenTek Communication Technology (China).

Soleus is a complete mobile software platform built on Windows Embedded CE, with pre-certified telephony and an applications portfolio – including the recently acquired Destinator navigation software - which enables mobile and portable device makers to rapidly develop and deploy an array of wireless consumer devices.
