SINA & AutoNavi to Launch “SoLoMo“ Services in China
Leading Chinese online media company SINA and LBS and map provider AutoNavi have announced a strategic partnership to enhance each other's social, location and mobile ("SoLoMo") offerings.

Weibo, the social network of SINA has 400 million users and "over 70% of them access the social media platform at least partially via mobile devices," said Gaofei Wang, General Manager of SINA Mobile.

AMAP, AutoNavi's free mobile map application had a total of 85 million users and more than 45 million monthly active users as of the end of the third quarter of 2012, wrote the public company in its financial earnings. AutoNavi’s mobile & internet activities represented 21.6% ($27 million) of its business in 2011.

As a result of this partnership, AMAP users will be able to sign on using Weibo Connect and access content directly from SINA Weibo. SINA Weibo users will also have access to the content and functionality of AMAP.
