Quantum integrates sat-nav fonctionality in its DVB-H mobile TV device
Quantum, an Italian start-up company specialized in DVB-H mobile TV announced and displayed at 3GSM World Congress its QTM 1000 Nav, a Linux-based mobile TV embedding sat-nav fonctionality developed by another Italian company, AvMap.

This is the first product of this kind in Europe, where the DVB-H standard for mobile digital TV is currently tested in most countries. 3 Italy was the first company to launch with its WalkTV service.

This type of converged devices are very popular in South Korea where most of the Portable Media Players offers navigation and mobile TV.
