Palo Alto networking event: a success!

Organized in cooperation between Soleil Group, a research equity firm and GPS Business News, the GPS/LBS networking event that took place yesterday evening in Palo Alto has been a real success. this first event of this kind in the U.S. has attracted more than 50 business people from various background within the industry.

Representatives from semiconductor companies (SiRF, Micrel, Samsung), PND and cell phone manufacturers (Mio, HP, Motorola, Sonim), navigation and LBS software companies (deCarta, Autodesk, Jentro, Telmap, Spime, NIM), map data and satellite imagery providers (Tele Atlas, Navteq, DigitalGlobe) and content (Weatherbug, Navx,Yoyo Mobile) and many others spent the whole evening exchanging business cards, meeting old friends or looking for a new position in the industry.
