Orange Advertising Gets Exclusivity to Sell Waze Ads in France

Orange Advertising the ad network of France Telecom-Orange announced today to have signed a contract with the Israeli community navigation and traffic start-up Waze.

Orange advertising will have the exclusivity to sell Waze advertising spaces to brands in France. In France the Waze community has reached 2 million users.

The advertising formats available are “branded pins“, small clickable signs that are seen at the location of the retailer, and “zero speed pop up“, an advertising pop up that comes up when the vehicle has been in a full stop for more than 10 seconds.

This is the second of such deals signed in Europe by Waze after inking an agreement with mobile marketing company Lumata to monetize Waze in Italy (read here).
