Nokia to ship GPS-enabled Netbook



Nokia to ship GPS-enabled Netbook
Nokia today announced its foray into the Netbook business with the announcement of the Nokia Booklet 3G. This mini-laptop based on a Windows operating system weighs 1.25 kilograms, measures slightly more than 2cm thin, has a 10-inch display, a 12 hours standing battery life and boasts 3G/HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and A-GPS.

“A-GPS […], working with the Ovi Maps gadget, can pinpoint your position in seconds and open up access for a truly personal maps experience”, said Nokia in its press release.

Nokia did not disclose the price or the availability of this first laptop at this stage. More information will be unveiled at the upcoming Nokia World conference taking place in Stuttgart, Germany on September 2-3, 2009. GPS Business News will cover this event in details from the show floor.
