Julian Buhagiar, Chief Technical Officer at Node, said "August this year will see us enter beta testing of our Nokia software and shortly after this will see the release of our iPhone, iPod Touch, Symbian and Windows Mobile client. We expect all these clients to pass golden master testing and be available in the market by Q4 this year. The Blackberry client is likely to take a little longer, but we expect to be able to announce a beta version in early 2009."
Tom Brammar, Founder, added "Since the inception of the Node Platform we knew that our aim was always to bring these experiences to the mass consumer mobile market. Whilst we waited for the hardware functionality to improve we were able to launch successful experiences using our own Node Explorer handset. The Explorer has worked extremely well for us and has allowed us to generate considerable knowledge and refine our platform through commercially successful location based media experiences and we will continue to offer it as a part of our platform, but the time has now come for Node to apply our feature rich platform and domain expertise to the emerging location aware mobile world."
Node is managed and owned by its founding management team and its institutional investor, London-based Active Private Equity.
