US wireless operator U.S. Cellular has announced today « Your Navigator », its off-board navigation solution, powered by Network In Motions (NIM), a leading North American provider of white label navigation and location-based solutions.

“Our customers can now receive audible turn-by-turn directions and find gas stations, restaurants, hotels and tourist attractions. Finding your way to new and unknown places just got a whole lot easier.” Said Alan D. Ferber, chief marketing officer for U.S. Cellular.

The service is available to U.S. Cellular customers for $9.99 per month or $2.99 per day. U.S. Cellular is currently offering a 14 days free trial. The solution works with the Kyocera 312 and the LG 245 handsets.

customers with a Motorola V3M also can use Your Navigator with the completion of a free software upgrade at any U.S. Cellular retail store. Beginning Aug. 9, all Motorola V3M handsets sold at U.S. Cellular stores will be able to download the application.

U.S. Cellular is the sixth-largest wireless service carrier in the US with six million customers in 26 states. NIM is already providing GPS applications to wireless carriers Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Alltel and Telus.
