Networks In Motion partners with Ericsson
U.S.-based wireless navigation provider Networks In Motion (NIM) has announced a partnership with Ericsson, a major provider of technology services to mobile network operators, to offer NIM’s location-based services (LBS) for GPS-enabled mobile phones to Ericsson customers worldwide.

While very successful in its partnership with Verizon Wireless in the United States - and a few other North America carriers - NIM has been lacking a significant footprint outside of the Americas. This partnership might make it easier; however, selling navigation to wireless operators is very different from selling wireless infrastructures, the core business of Ericsson.
