Nav N Go Receive €1m EU Grant to Develop LBS Platform
Bupdapest-based Mobile navigation provider Nav N Go has received a grant of €1 million from the European Union to develop a location-based platform tailored to work on mobile devices. The company has already started working on the project together with the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and U1 Research Nonprofit Ltd.

Nav N Go said that the major advantage of the platform in progress is that it allows independent developers to include location-based services in their applications in a short period of time. With limited resources needed for application development, the platform takes location management in a mobile environment to the next level.

One of Nav N Go’s aims in the project is to create a semantic content-management method which recognizes and manages the location-specific information in text messages. The platform also targets the usage of the latest algorithms of phonation and speech recognition. The aim is to strengthen mobile user experience by providing much better speech manageability in a mobile environment.

The final version of the platform can be expected in the second half of 2011.
