NNG Intros Southern Africa iPhone Nav Powered by NAVTEQ
iGO My way for iPhone, developed by Hungary-based NNG now available for South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland, Botswana and Lesotho with NAVTEQ map data.

The app features English, French, German, Italian and Russian as user interface languages. The Southern African maps cover over 570,000 km of roads in all five countries with speed limits and toll sections. In addition, the application includes over 160,000 Points of Interest (POIs) in different categories such as banks, hotels, restaurants, pharmacies, hospitals, and other useful places along the route and around the destination.

“We see a growing potential and need for navigation in many African countries and have taken the first step of introducing iGO My way navigation solutions with this iPhone app for South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland, Botswana and Lesotho,” said Tamás Vahl, CEO at NNG LLC.

Besides the iPhone app launch for Southern Africa, more products and new partnerships with local portable navigation, automotive and off-road trekking clients can be expected for 2011, said Nav N Go.
