NAVTEQ Offers Real-Time Traffic in Brazil
Besides offering traffic information in the United States and Europe, digital map provider NAVTEQ is now expanding to South America, unveiling its real-time traffic service in six Brazilian cities.

NAVTEQ Traffic will serve nearly 48 million people in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Salvador, Curitiba and Porto Alegre.

NAVTEQ said it has selected “best-in-class data sources with years of experience in their local markets.” In Brazil, this includes GPS probe data from consumer devices, including Nokia handsets.
