NAVTEQ  Inks deal with Business Listing Provider Truvo
Digital map provider NAVTEQ today announced it is collaborating with European business listing supplier Truvo to offer local businesses paid listings on the NAVTEQ map.

“The agreement paves the way for NAVTEQ to integrate hundreds of thousands of Truvo business listings on the NAVTEQ map, while Truvo becomes a reseller of NAVTEQ Direct Access, which provides brands and businesses the opportunity for even greater on-map exposure”, wrote NAVTEQ in a press release.

Truvo has more than 800,000 local business customers in Belgium, Ireland and Portugal. Truvo, formerly World Directories has over 1400 employees. Its print and online platforms are used by more than 10 million people each month.

Truvo business is currently in a difficult transition between fast declining revenues in print that are not offset by its growth in digital media. Truvo’s operating revenue was €365 million in fiscal year 2008, then €297 in 2009 and it is expected to be €257 million in 2010.
