NAVIGON Adds Traffic for 87K Miles of US Secondary Roads in App
At the MacWorld Expo today in San Francisco, Mobile navigation provider NAVIGON announced an upgrade to its Traffic Live feature for its iPhone and Android navigation app.

NAVIGON now uses a more comprehensive traffic feed of traffic provider INRIX, which increases road coverage by 76 percent totaling over 200,000 miles across North America. Major changes include integration of more than 87,000 miles of secondary roads, for example city streets and arterials.

The increase is particularly significant in metro areas such as Atlanta (294 percent increase to a total of 4,980 road miles), Philadelphia (202% increase to a total of 3,975 road miles, San Francisco (56% increase to a total of 2,199 miles) or Washington, D.C (255% increase to a total of 3,686 road miles).

Traffic Live is available for the iPhone and iPad through in-app purchase for $19.99 (currently on sale for $14.99). The traffic service is part of the Android App which – unfortunately for NAVIGON – does not have in-app purchase.
