Motion X Teams up with Pioneer, JVC for in-Dash Nav
Mobile navigation provider Motion X has teamed up with multimedia car system brands Pioneer and JVC to bring its off-board iPhone navigation system to in-dash screens. The Motion-X map view is sent as a video feed to the head units while all controls are generated through the iPhone.

MotionX GPS Drive is compatible with JVC Multimedia A/V Receivers: KW-AVX640, KW-AVX740, KW-ADV794, and KW-AVX840. It also requires JVC’s KS-U30 iPod/iPhone Video Playback Adapter.

The solution is also compatible with Pioneer AVH-P3300BT, AVH-P4300DVD and AVH-P6300BT head units through a “smart cradle” that Pioneer will start selling this Spring at $120.

“Fullpower is blazing new trails for in-vehicle telematics with MotionX,” said Philippe Kahn, CEO of Fullpower-MotionX. “MotionX delivers always up-to-date information and is the first to integrate turn-by-turn navigation with Facebook Places and Wikipedia.”

MotionX-GPS Drive is currently available on the iTunes store for a purchase price of $.99 cents and includes one-month free trial, then $2.99 per month for Live Voice Guidance (or $19.99 per year).
