Mediamobile Tests Traffic over DAB+ In Poland
Real-time traffic provider Mediamobile today announced the launch of a pilot programme to test its traffic services on the digital radio (DAB+) channel in Poland.

The services are currently broadcasted live since January in the cities of Warsaw and Kielce by the Polskie Radio – the national radio network – in collaboration with two national broadcast network operators: Emitel and Info-TV-Operator.

Mediamobile is already a leading traffic broadcaster in Poland, airing its services over RDS-TMC (FM network) since 2010 to cars and PNDs including Toyota, Volvo, Mio, Garmin and Becker.

Mediamobile will be testing its Traffic Services in Poland until end of February. Upon completion of the test phase, Polskie Radio is planning to launch commercial digital radio services in the following months, in Warsaw and Katowice. After that, the company will gradually extend their coverage to the rest of the population.

Mediamobile is also planning to broadcast additional services such as road weather forecasts, fuel prices, parking information and public transport information in the future.
