Mark Gretton, who was one of the top engineers at TomTom has left the company last month to take the role of CTO at Crave Interactive, a UK-based start-up company incorporated in September 2009 that provides Interactive ordering solutions for restaurants and hotels. According to legal filings, Gretton has been a director with the company since mid October 2010.

Gretton was hired by TomTom in 2003 to form the hardware team that launched the initial TomTom GO, the product that defined and kick started the whole personal navigation industry in 2004. He then held several roles at TomTom as one of the top engineers, most recently he was director of product engineering.

Prior to TomTom Gretton spent 17 years with Psion that he joined in 1986. A British national, he graduated from Reading University with a degree in Cybernetics and Control Engineering in 1981.
