Luxoft Developed ERA-GLONASS Navigation Information Platform
Russian software development house Luxoft has announced last week to have completed the development of the navigation and information platform for ERA-GLONASS, the Russian national system of emergency response, the equivalent of e-Call.

ERA-GLONASS is run by Non-Commercial Partnership GLONASS (NP GLONASS), a federal navigation network operator and the system's operator.

Luxoft was operating on a tight schedule “to develop a software for the navigation and information platform, a complex country-wide system required to interact with numerous external systems and to meet stringent reliability and availability requirements.“

In the first project stage launched in April 2013, Luxoft developed a test prototype of the navigation and information platform for preliminary testing of the system. The second stage started in June 2013 and included development of the commercial platform to be further rolled out across 83 regions of Russia. On 31 October 2013, Luxoft delivered the nation-wide navigation and information platform and currently supports NP GLONASS by performing integrated system testing.

Luxoft has 7,000 employees located in Central and Eastern Europe.
