We learned last week that Leon van de Pas stepped down as CEO of Nav N Go. 32 years old COO András Fazakas “continues his duties unchanged as Chief Operating Officer”, said the Budapest-based navigation software company in a press release. Van de Pas had been in “vacations” for several weeks when Nav N Go officially broke the news. No reason was given for his sudden departure 16 months after joining the company.

Leon van de Pas had been the CEO of Nav N Go since March 2007, prior to that he was Vice President Sales EMEA at Tele Atlas (2005-2007). Mr. van de Pas has also a background in the wireless industry formerly being Executive VP Global Sales & MD Europe at in-Fusio, a mobile gaming company (Bordeaux 2000-2005) and Segment Manager Mobile Communications EMEA for Schlumberger Smart Card & Terminals (Paris/London 1996-1999). He also held sales positions at Draegerwerk AG Luebeck and Philips Lighting Singapore. He is a graduate of the Hague Institute of Technology, the Netherlands, with degrees in Electronics and Economics.
