Leading French classifieds/auction site Leboncoin.fr has selected French location-based advertising network to help monetize its fast growing mobile web inventory.
Fully owned by Norwegian media group Schibsted, Leboncoin.fr is the third largest classifieds/auction site in Europe with 14.5 million unique visitors per month and 3.3 Billion impressions (January 2012).
Now that 15 to 20 percent of its visitors have moved from the desktop web to mobile platforms, the company,, is looking at a mobile monetization strategy.
Leboncoin sees local advertisers has a better fit than non-contextualized banners from performance-based networks such as AdMob or inMobi.
On its web desktop properties, local car dealers and real estate agents have proved to be a valuable source of income and so they are likely become on mobile.

Leboncoin will use Admoove products to size up and optimize the monetization of its local inventory. Admoove will also integrate Leboncoin’s mobile property in its offering to its own local advertisers, alongside with other properties from Amaury Media, Lefigaro and others.
