Largen is a former colleague of new Jentro's CEO Kate Edwards (watch our interview here); he was recently Chief Operating Officer at CenterPost Communications, a Chicago-based provider of automated communication solutions - where Kate Edwards was CEO - until the company was sold to West Corporation in February 2007.
This appointment reinforces the North American weight of the executive team. In June 2007 U.S.-based venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates (NEA) invested US$28m in Jentro, associated with Glynn Capital (US$1m). This series A funding was followed by the departure of Germany-based CEO Hans-Hendrik Puvogel and the appointment of Kate Edwards as CEO in December 2007.
Jentro also recently announced the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer, Paramjeet Singh, who will have direct responsibility for finance, accounting, legal, administration, commercials, information technology, sales support and customer care for Jentro’s worldwide operations. Paramjeet Singh is based out of Munich, Germany, where Jentro has its operational headquarters.
Prior to joining Jentro, Singh served as the Vice President of Finance and Strategy for Destinator Technologies – a navigation software editor - where he was responsible for the financial operations, strategic planning, commercials and corporate development of the company. In a previous position at IBM Global Services, he was responsible for financial & business analysis, business cases construction and validation, and reporting for infrastructure and strategic outsourcing projects for EMEA market. In the past, Singh has also worked for Hewlett-Packard (EMEA), SAB Infotech & Career Solutions Inc.
