3D digital mapping company Intermap announced that it has licensed shaded terrain products to MapQuest, Inc. Additionally, Intermap will deliver shaded terrain products for Europe and the remainder of the world for subsequent releases on the MapQuest.com consumer Web site and Platform products.

“Intermap’s data products provide depth to the map that is rich, informative and visually appealing,” said Christian Dwyer, MapQuest senior vice president and general manager. “Our customers will experience an enhanced map view that provides significant improvements to the look and feel including real-world terrain visualization based on Intermap's NEXTMap 3D data products.”
