HondaLink Navigation App Gets a Great Start
Earlier this month Honda launched the new 2014 Honda Civic that offers a new version of HondaLink, a system that connects smartphones to the dashboard and enable mobile apps on the car’s 7-inch screen.

The HondaLink turn-by-turn GPS navigation app ($59.99) has seen a great start on iTunes, reaching the top ten grossing apps in the navigation category and ranking among well established GPS navigation apps such as Garmin TomTom and Navigon.

The in-dash system features a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with Bluetooth.

Besides the navigation app HondaLink offers three other apps for the iPhone and Android:
- Aha for radio content, LBS services and audio books,
- “Connected App“ that provide access for many services including location searches, local weather, messaging, Maintenance Minder alerts, service scheduling by phone, and access to the Owners Guide.
- “Launcher“ that enables the car owner to quickly find Honda-approved 3rd party apps.
