Hertz and TomTom have extended their agreement to offer turn-by-turn navigation solutions to Hertz customers across Europe with a new version of a Personal Navigation Device (PND) called NeverLost 5 GPS system.

“The devices are being made available to Hertz customers in over 700 major airports and cities across 18 countries in Europe,” said Michel Taride, Group RAC President Hertz International. The device is available in: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.

Over 8,000 units of the new navigation device will be rolled-out over the next 24 months, with scope to increase this number yet further. “This is more than double the volume of the NeverLost 4 partnership deal between Hertz and TomTom in 2011,“ wrote TomTom in a press release.
