Google is now providing indoor maps for more than 10,000 locations in Google Maps for Android, wrote the Mountain View company in a blog post yesterday. While most of the maps are for U.S. location Google also has indoor maps for the United Kingdom, Canadan Japan and Switzerland.
The web giant has just added 20 U.S. museums and more are coming said the company.
This includes 17 Smithsonian museums. The mapped indoor spaces of the Smithsonian total more than 2.7 million square feet and include several hundred clickable points of interest and stand-alone objects, each of which can be tapped to set as a destination.
