Garmin strengthens ties with BMW launching 2 PNDs
Garmin announced this week that it has strengthened its partnership with BMW by offering two new navigation devices, the Portable Navigation System Plus and Portable Navigation System Pro, which are available immediately at BMW dealerships in North America, Europe and other selected regions.

The devices can be fitted with specially engineered, crash-tested mounts into the interior of the BMW 1 Series, BMW 3 Series and BMW X3 models. Both devices have a 4.3 inches touch screen and Bluetooth. The “Pro” device integrates voice recognition while the “Plus” is sold without maps that can be downloaded from Garmin website and partners site using the MapSource technology.

In North America, the Portable Navigation System Plus includes Garmin’s FM traffic receiver with FM real-time traffic, and the Portable Navigation System Pro incorporates MSN Direct services.
