Garmin cuts price on navigation for Blackberry
Garmin today announced a lifetime subscription plan priced at $99.99 for its Garmin Mobile navigation solution on Blackberry in the United States.

This one-time purchase will give customers who own BlackBerry devices unlimited use of Garmin Mobile's off-board navigation solution for the life of their specific BlackBerry. Users will also have unlimited access to Garmin Mobile's dynamic content such as traffic, weather conditions and forecasts, fuel prices, etc. This offer is available exclusively online on the Garmin store.

"Garmin is one of the first to offer a one-time purchase navigation package for BlackBerry devices," said Charles Morse, Garmin's director of mobile and online marketing.

With this new business model Garmin especially expects to chase Telenav customers that represent a large number of navigation users on Blackberry in the United States.
