At the software level the watch allows the user to plan trips and create routes, record waypoints and GPS bread crumb trails on the move (tracklogs). The device can navigate the user to coordinates, along a track or route, towards waypoints, geocaches or along any other selected bearing.
A navigation arrow provides directional guidance and the “TracBack“ function can guide one back along a previously recorded tracklog.
Through Bluetooth and ANT the device is able to connect to Garmin’s BaseCamp software on desktops and, in the future, with a selection of smartphones with a dedicated app.
