Garmin-Asus A50 Launches in Australia with Optus
The Android-based A50 smartphone from the alliance between Garmin and Asus will debut in Australia in exclusivity with wireless operator Optus which already launched the Android-based A10 smartphone from the alliance last month.
The A50 is available to consumers for $0 upfront on the ‘yes’ Social $49 plan (over 24 months commitment) and to small business customers for $0 upfront on the ‘yes’ Business Complete Max $49 plan (over 24 months) commitment. In comparison the Garmin A10 cost $0 upfront on an Optus ‘yes’ Social $29 plan (over 24 months). Garmin-Asus A50 includes several Optus specific mobile services such as voice-activated 124 ‘Yes’ local search, Optus Video, preloaded social networking apps like Facebook, Mobile TV and the Optus Games store.
