GPS boom in Switzerland
The Swiss customs statistical office released yesterday interesting data about GPS importations in the country (a very accurate market snapshot since there is no local manufacturing). 226,000 GPS devices have been imported in 2006, about one per 14 households - excluding in-car factory-fitted solutions.

GPS importations have almost doubled against 2005 and the Swiss market has almost increased sixfold since 2003. Within these four years the average price at the border has dropped 50 percent.
