French start up Navx to raise three million Euros to develop content and customization for personal navigation devices

Navx has announced today the closing of a €3 million Series A round of financing from Innoven Partenaires. Navx specializes in content and customization solutions for the PND market : speedcam database, touristic POIs, voices, ... The funding will be used to accelerate development in France and to expand to Germany, Italy, Spain, Benelux and the UK. The VC Innoven Partner was an early investor in Gate5, the navigation software company bought by Nokia in August 2006.

Navx is lead by Jean Cherbonnier and Florent Bouteiller who co-founded - and sold in 2004 - K-mobile, a successful mobile content provider for cellphones.
