As a result of Garmin’s acquisition of NAVIGON last summer, Egon Minar, the former CEO of NAVIGON, has left the company and has been replaced by Johannes Angenvoort, who was previously Executive Vice President of Development and who were at NAVIGON for 14 years.

In addition, NAVIGON GmbH has been renamed to Garmin Wuerzburg GmbH.

“The new Garmin Wuerzburg office is the realization of the company’s vision to establish a technology and product management center that will help develop and deliver products that cater to European consumers,“ wrote Garmin in a press release.
It seems that slowly but surely NAVIGON products will be transitioned under the Garmin brand.
