Factual, the POI data aggregator start-up, today announced the release of a new API (in beta) called Monetize which aims at aggregating and geo-indexing third party deals, ads, coupons and offers. Factual will then offer a share of revenue to developers based on the deals sold to end users.
Factual has aggregated offer data through relationships with companies such as Groupon, LivingSocial, GrubHub, Yelp and Signpost. The offers are mapped to Factual place entities and the offers are made accessible throug an API.
This API allows developer to query results based on lat/long or text search, excluding or including certain deal providers.
Icing on the cake, Factual also auto-generates 320x50 images for each offer so developers can easily display them as a regular mobile ad units.
